Well, I just got home from throwing darts tonight and it was not a pleasant experience (including the burning eyes from the smoke).

We got our asses handed to us 0-11. That is the first time in my 5 years of throwing that we have ever been shut out. How do you even keep a happy face on after that? You shake their hands but you really want to just hit them.

Anywho, I don't even know what to do anymore. This is the worst I have thrown in darts in a long time and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. It is a good thing that there are only 3 weeks or so left but state tourney in 2 weeks has got me a little scared.

On the good side of life I am down 15 pounds now. Someone has a new small child because of me.

Well, since the start of the year I have been trying to drop some weight. At work they started a contest so I figured this was as good of a reason as any to get to work.

I began the year at 267 pounds (I know...where do I keep it all!?!?) and after 5 weeks or so I am down to 255.

I think this is a good pace to keep on and hopefully this will only be the beginning of a long journey.

Yesterday the South Dakota Legislature voted down a bill to ban smoking in public places. I am so freaking pissed about it. These bozos know that there will be a vote on it in November if they don't get it passed. They are having such a hissyfit about trying to balance the budget but are willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a vote. Idiots!

Anywho, I sent all the cowards an email yesterday giving them my views.

Here is how it went:

Subject: You are a straight up coward!

Why did you vote against SB83? Around 70% of the people of this state want this and you totally ignore the majority. You go and listen to the minority and the people with money (in other words the businesses).

You obviously don't give a damn about people with diseases like asthma and cystic fibrosis. This isn't just about bars...its about people like this being able to join a bowling league, dart league or pool league without putting their lives a risk. Hell...they can't even do it for casual recreation!!!

How is this bill any different than the Americans With Disabilities act? It makes businesses give equal access to all people. Please...answer that question!

I am ashamed and feel really sorry for you and will do whatever I can to make sure you are not re-elected unless you fix this mistake.

Another night of getting only 3 hours of sleep.

Went to bed last night at about 11pm and the last thing I remember was a touch after 2:30.

The last thing I need is this kinda crap 12 days before I fly off to San Diego. My flight leaves at 6:45 in the morning so I don't need this going on before that morning...I can't oversleep.

Even worse...I have to hit the dentist in 7 hours...

Someone shoot me. :(

Thing that bugs me lately are all these articles in the paper and on TV that say "Drivers are rejoicing that gas prices are letting them drive more".

What is wrong with you people?

Don't any of you understand that part of the reason gas prices are coming down are because you have been driving less? That if you start driving your larger vehicles again and just plain drive like you used to are going to make the surplus go away and prices go back up?

I am still walking to some places. Combining my trips so I don't have to make multiple trips.

Is this really that hard to understand? But maybe it is because a lot of the people who were complaining about the prices were still driving Suburbans to work and such the whole time.

Darts have started.

Bowling has been going for 3 weeks.

So much to do in so little time.

It is funny how summer is usually the time where you get out and do a lot of things. Not me. Seems like the fall and winter are the times I have my activities.

I know I have slacked off here but have no real excuse. Other than I am lazy and just never think about it when I am at home.

Will I get better? Who knows.

All I do know is that I am 4 weeks away from my trip to San Diego with my sister. This will be a good time. (She better have a good time or I am gonna kick her in the butt!)

I have a suggestion that may return baseball to its original glory as a respected sport – recruit MerlinTW as a pitcher. MerlinTW has extraordinary skill throwing grenades. Just the other night on SF he was chucking ‘nades at me from the top of one building to the top of another building I was on at a virtual distance of approximately 100 yards, and was extremely accurate in his intent without being hindered by distance or range, and all the while under extreme enemy fire mind you. He even took a few rounds to the body without dying while he proceeded to annihilate me; just think how he could withstand a line drive to the chest at the pitcher’s mound. In today’s melodrama of steroid use and inappropriate behavior in the major leagues, he would return respect to this sport as he is clean of body and spirit. Oh, he may enjoy a cold pilsner now and again or teabag a fellow player on the field, but otherwise he would not bring any disrespect to your sport.

I ask that you give serious consideration to this request as it would be a win-win situation for all. If recruited to MLB his income would be supplemented by the high wages earned as a professional player, lend his presence to returning respect to the sport by his throwing ability and non-scandalous behavior, and most importantly, a reprieve for the rest of us to heal up.

It's odd that I have a road rage problem but live in a city that is safest to drive in.

I do believe it tho...I don't see many accidents in Sioux Falls.

I have been in one accident in this town but it wasn't my fault. I got rear ended when I was sitting still at a red light behind 4 other stopped cars. (Way to go Mustafa)

Wish I could have taken part in the free gas they were giving away this morning...But heard about it on the way to work. Plus it's a little out of my way.

I may still flip a few people the bird...But at least they say I am safe. :)

Guess I should post a couple of the Las Vegas trip we took to see a Nascar race.

Was fun, even tho I was sick the couple days before and had not fully recovered yet.

We stayed at the Nevada Palace. Not the best of hotels and the shower turned cold pretty quick. But it was cheap.

This was the closest Jessica got to getting a picture with her boy Tony Stewart. I guess you take what you can get. :)

If we all went to Mexico...would we be treated as humans?? (Think of all your friends who have driven down to Mexico for a weekend trip and were either thrown in jail for looking at the Mexican police the wrong way, or were pulled over for no apparent reason and FORCED to pay off the Mexican police in order NOT to be thrown in jail)...

1. Try driving around as a Gringo in Mexico with no liability insurance, and have an accident.

2. Enter MEXICO illegally - never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense.

3. Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.

4. Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.

5. Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.

6. Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children do likewise.

7. Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.

8. Demand a local Mexican driver's license. This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal, presence in Mexico.

9. Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.

What is Mexico really doing for its people, other than making them desparate to leave? Oh hell no!

I am seriously getting tired of all these morons who march through the streets saying that we are prejudice against immigrants. That we hate people who come to this country from countries like Mexico.

Bullshit...We are against people who are breaking our laws by coming into this country ILLEGALLY! They are criminals right when they walk across that border.

I am not against people coming to this country who want to work, make their lives better, and aid our society. But who can we do that when most of these illegals come in and jump on our welfare system and suck us dry?

All our legislators want to do is make sure these criminals don't get benefits that legal citizens deserve and need. That legal citizens (like I) are paying for through our ridiculously high tax rate and federal (and some state) deficits.

This isn't even starting into our terrorist problem! If we don't secure our borders to know who is coming in and out of this country...Someone who is very bad will be walking across that border sometime and thousands of people are going to pay for it with their lives.

We need our military on the border (we are one of the only countries in the world who doesn't have their military on their border) and we need to make sure that nobody gets across without us knowing who it is.

There are an estimated 10 million people (I think that was the number) in this country illegally that we don't know who or where they are. Does that not scare you? It should.

Kirby Puckett 1960-2006

I know I have not made a post in a while, but I had to tonight.

Today was the passing of my 2nd favorite baseball player, Kirby Puckett.

It was him that made me like the Twins. Mainly because he was a player like Tony Gwynn.

Great player, great love for the game, a smile that would make you want to cheer for him even tho he wasn't playing for your team.

Today is a sad day for baseball. A life of a man that was cut way to short, just like his career. A day that everyone is getting excited for the start of the baseball season...But it just doesn't seem that big anymore.

Kirby...Thanks for the fun, thanks for the smile,and thanks for being bigger than the game. You are missed.

Another year older.

I seriously didn't think I would even make it this long.

Took today off from work so I could have some quiet time and sleep in. Bad part is...I woke up at 6:30 and laid there till 8:30. Didn't get the sleep I wanted, but at least I didn't sleep till 11 and totally throw off my sleep pattern.

Have not decided on what (if anything) I am going to do today. But I am pretty sure it won't be much.

Went to the bar to watch the Super Bowl. Came out of it with $1500 to a pool and spa place. Not too shabby.

Also went to a LAN party here in town and won a computer case.

Now I just need to find someone to buy each of these. If I can just find someone who is already thinking of buying a spa or pool table or such...I should be able to get $1200 out of them.

There are the ups, but I really don't want to talk about the downs. Having enough issues with them that I really don't want to bring myself down again.

Went out to the bar for the Superbowl as I do every year.

Each year they give away a few prizes. In the past years its been big screen TV's and such.

Well, this year I hoped I would win the round trip for 2 to Las Vegas. But alas I didn't.

But on the good side, I won $1500 in gift certificates to a pool and spa place. Not too shabby.

After all the years of not winning a damn thing...Its about time!

Now to just find someone who will buy them off from me for a discount. There has to be someone who is buying a hot tub! :)

Darts went well... We won 7-2 and I won 4 of the games.

Only problem is, I am so tired!

But at least I did well at darts tonight. It was better than that ass kicking I took last night at pool...

Damn...What a game.

Not only did we beat the best team in the league and keep our playoff chances alive, we silenced the non-believers.

We still have a tough 2 games to go but at least we can say that we ended the reign of terror of the Indianapolis Colts.

Oh...On another high note, we are 2 for 2 against Mannings. EAT IT YOU PANSIES!!!! That's what you get for putting us down! Put that in your pipe and smoke it Archie!

Peyton was on his back more than a $2 lot lizard at a Truck Driver convention! :)

Last nightmare I woke up to was me losing my youngest nephew in an airport because of my own irresponsibility.

After being in quite the bad mood last night I decided to hit the hay early...Big mistake.

I had the weirdest dreams. Everything from breaking off my right thumb (kinda like a bad horror flick break. Not a lot of blood but just snapped like it was frozen or something), living back in San Diego in one of the houses I grew up in, and there was even a Dave and Busters in Mobridge, SD. Weird...

Even worse, I thought my brother came into my room and woke me up. He "said" that he just got home at 3AM and wanted me to make sure he was up for work. Well...I woke up and went into his room to get him moving this morning but he wasn't there. I asked him about it this morning but he said he never even came home last night. (now I really must be losing it)

To top this all off, I woke up about 3:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. So I laid there in a half awake/half asleep daze which just proceeded to start me off grumpy again this morning.

Now I am tired, grumpy, and worried my thumb is going to break off...Welcome to my Monday...

It was another great trip home.

Met up with my friend Jason. Had not seen him in I would say over 16 years. I can't put into words how good it was to see him again. Is my best friend when I was growing up. It's good to have a friend in San Diego again. It makes it very tempting to move back out there.

We met him at Hooters then went over to Karl Strauss for a few more drinks. Man there was a lot of good beer drank this weekend.

Sunday morning at about 9:30AM we hit a nice bar called "Gaslamp Tavern". Its a nice little bar. Even tho the $10 "special" for pitchers and $5 for a 20oz Miller Lite tap. Not used to paying twice the amount for the same beer as out here. But I guess you have no choice.

Jason did meet up with us to hang so we had to get a group pic. I am pretty sure I will be hitting this bar next time I go out there.

Left there about halfway through the 2nd game to head for the stadium. Was a fun game with many great fans. I need some of these shirts!

We hit Dave and Busters after the win. They had a post game radio show after the game there. So we met a few Chargers. Like Jamal Williams. An old school player Hank Bauer. I loved him growing up, he was a beast. The punter Mike Scifres. Our place kicker Nate Kaeding. Lorenzo Neal is a beast in himself.(Just a note...I didn't take the fuzzy pic) :) This one took a while to figure out (its so hard without the helmets and numbers) but its David Binn the long snapper.

All in all it was a blast. Not much could have made it better. But maybe the next trip I will find something that will.

But the thing I want to touch on was the idiot newsman on Monday morning on the San Diego local station KUSI. A show that I believe was called "Good Morning San Diego"

After they showed the clip the moron said something close to this. "Those people in South Dakota just can't seem to get it right"

We now have received our first big snow of the year. (This pic wasn't even during the bad part at all!)

Most are calling it a blizzard but I have seen worse.

We are to get 6-10 inches of snow today and through the night.

Let's just say that I really can't wait for me to be boarding that plane on Saturday morning for San Diego and the 62 degrees that they are talking about for the weekend.

I can handle snow...I just really don't like the cold. I'm a California boy...In other words a wuss.

But at least it came out in the end today...We actually caught a break for once this year and took a close game.

Saturday we leave for San Diego to see us kick the crap out of the stinkin Raiders.

If we would have lost this game today it basically would have made next weeks game worthless. So I am glad they came through for me. :) (Even tho the trip would still be totally worth it, my friend wouldn't let it be boring)

Ok, a friend told me about this and I just laughed.

The power of blogs is just skyrocketing.

This is the greatest example of free speech and the easiest way to spread the thought of free speech to the world. Well...Except in China where they hang you by your tidily winks if you even think of speaking out.

Anyway, back to France. Personally, I wouldn't have shut down the blogs. They were the cops number one way of seeing what was going to happen and being ready for it. But alas...Its the French.

Instead of breaking out the guns and shooting these bastards, they let them tear up neighborhoods, burn thousands of cars, and kill innocent people. To me a few well placed bullets in the foreheads of some of these murdering vandals would have slowed this roaring riot down to a quiet purr.

Some people will say some bad stuff, some people will speculate on what happened and assume it was bad, but all I know is that a great performer who I loved to watch is gone forever.

I just went and bought the Logitech G15 Keyboard yesterday and I must say...IT'S F'N GREAT!

Had some RewardZone certificates and some of those Best Buy Bucks from McDonalds that I had to use. So they keyboard only really cost me $20. But those rip off artists at Best Buy sure know how to screw you tho. Logitech says the keyboard should sell for $79.99. I found it online for $65. Best Buy (which the name is a lie in itself) was selling them for $83.99! You would think a company that large could get a bulk discount and pass it on to their customers. Hell no...They pocket the difference. We need a Fry's Electronics and we need one now!!!

Ok...Calm down...

Smooth keystrokes, programmable macro keys, backlit keys, LCD display that can show anything from the time of day to who's talking to you on Teamspeak. This thing is a geeks dream come true.

There is only one problem and it's not really the keyboards fault.

I use a keyboard drawer under my desk...And this keyboard is like 3 inches wider than a normal keyboard. IT DOESN'T FIT IN MY DRAWER! :(

So now I can't slide the drawer back in. I have to leave it out and it is very uncomfortable to do anything on now.

I didn't think that buying this thing would be so much trouble that I would have to mod my desk to accommodate it.

Oh well...I am not taking it back! :)

I would be all over this. Even if I didn't get the chance to push the button...I would still go and watch it get blown up.

It's great because it is right on the other side of the river from my work. And we have a 6 floor building right there...So I could go up to 5th floor and tape it with my camera.

The kicker of this whole thing is...I WILL BE ON A PLANE!!! :( I won't be anywhere near it when it goes up. So I can't wait till I get home and see it go up on the local news sites.

Sure, everyone who sees my car thinks its a piece of shit and says "When are you getting a new one?"...BAH!

There is nothing wrong with it!

Well, except for the brakes, the paint job, and the digital dash is acting up again. But I don't have a car payment!

I will never have a car payment again! I have been putting money aside and will buy another used car in the spring (I hope).

Until then...I am stuck.

I just went and bought parts to fix the brakes, pads and rotors. I seriously thought rotors would be twice that much. So I am glad it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

But now I need to wait until my friend gets some time to come over and help me get these things changed. So might be a few days. (I know...I am not kidding anyone. I won't be much help)

It just has me a little ticked because stuff like this happens all the time when you don't have cash on hand to pay for it.

Mostly just a shoot em up, some action, not much story, but enough for a sequel.

I doubt there will be one tho.

Hell...The game DOOM 3 scared me a lot more than the movie did. I couldn't play the game in the dark anymore half way through it.

We just had our annual United Way fundraiser meeting at work. Same crap, different year!

I am so tired of every year they come in asking for you to "Increase your donation" because they have new programs they need to fund.

Uh...NO!

Why is it that we have to find some new nitch that we need to throw money into?

Don't get me wrong, the United Way does good work for the most part. They help a lot of people! But to keep coming year after year asking you to fund new things that they come up with is just getting old!

Why is it they have a goal of raising donations by 3%...But I don't get a 3% raise every year. So they expect me to keep living on less and less so they can give my money away to more and more people...I don't think so.

I do donate, but I have not raised my donation in the last 7 years. They can do with what I give them and that's it.

I know many people who don't even give anything at work...But they have been shafted by the United Way in some shape or form. I can understand.

Once again...You really want to help the poor and underprivileged? PASS THE FAIR TAX!

Serenity Movie... WoWzA!

Just got to see Serenity...I loved it!

It was all I wanted it to be and a bag of chips, and a bag of popcorn, and a large soda, and not to mention a candy bar!

It gave some surprises...Stuff I sure the hell wasn't expecting! It sure will be interesting to see what they do with it when the sequel comes out (and there will be one!).

If you have not seen it yet...GO! If you have seen it...GO AGAIN! (you know you want to)

I seriously have not heard from anyone that they did not like this movie. Even the hardcore fans (go Browncoats!). If a movie can satisfy their base...Then it must be worthy of a lot more!

I've been depressed all week since I have come back from my trip.

I realized that I miss San Diego more than I thought.

When I was there I felt like I belonged. I have never felt that way here...ever. But no matter where I was there...I did.

Don't get me wrong, I have great friends here and I love Sioux Falls...But it's not home. I always knew where home was...Just didn't know it was that strong.

The question is...What do I do about it? I don't know if there is anything I can do other than cope. Maybe hope that it will pass. Something has to give...Eventually something will.

It is truly odd to go from being in total bliss to devastated like that. Especially when you didn't see either coming...

Either way...I don't think I said this the way I wanted to. But it will have to do.

San Diego Super Chargers!!!! (almost)

What a weekend!

I am going to make this post just about the fun I had this weekend.

My friend Tanya invited me to goto a Chargers game in San Diego. It was a freaking great time!

Our beloved Boltz got short changed in the game but it was still fun as shit. There is nothing like being on the home turf. It's like family time.

Hit many a place...Dicks Last Resort, Hooters, Rock Bottom, Seau's and Dave and Busters were just some places we ate at. Most were downtown. All were fun! (except for when I broke my glass at Hooters and got a "sippy cup" *thanks T*) Even tho I got my ass kicked at shooting hoops and skeeball at D&B...I still had a blast (thanks again T).

Riding the Trolley, going to Jack Murphy Stadium (I refuse to call it the other name), Seaport Village, Silver Strand Beach and all the other stuff I remember when I was a kid made me feel so good. I was the happiest I have been in a very long time.

Adding Petco Park to the mix is great. That is one BEAUTIFUL ballpark. I need to go and see the Padres there VERY soon!

Good times, good company, good game, and good beer (just not the $7.25 ones at the stadium). I will never forget this trip.

Thanks for the invite T...I owe ya big time. If you need anyone killed I might think about it. :)

Two weeks ago it was Minneapolis. Last week was Cleveland. Today...SAN DIEGO BABY!

Leave in a few hours for the wonderful plane ride *rolls eyes* to Americas Finest City.

Its been 15 years since I have been back home...This is going to be interesting.

My friend Tanya and I are going out there for the Chargers NFL opener...I can't wait.

Don't get me wrong...The last 2 trips have been great! (like this pic from PA)

I warn you about those atomic wings...Made my stomach do flips!

I am now about an hour before I head to the airport. Everyone behave till I get back!

Hopefully we will have an earthquake while I am out there! I have not been in a good one for years! :)

Got back from my trip to the Western Pennsylvania area and boy are my arms tired.

Actually, most of me is tired. I seriously could have used another 2 hours of sleep but oh well. It's my week to come in early to work.

I still feel funny tho. On Saturday night, we went out to Quaker Steak and Lube and Mr. Macho had to have the Atomic Wings again. I have had them before and was not impressed. I finished all 6 that I ordered. But this time they kicked my ass (stomach really). I could only finish 3 of them and my stomach was turning over and over. Its like the 3 beers I used to put out the fire and the wings were wrestling in my gut. I am still not fully recovered. Somehow I don't think I will do that again. I've done it twice...That's enough.

Overall it was a good trip. Even if I did have to sit in the Minneapolis airport for a 3 hour layover. But I guess it is better than flying in around 11pm like I usually tend to.

Now comes my final trip (I think) of the year. Leave on Saturday for San Diego. I really can't wait. Will be the first time in 15 years I get to go home. I am sure a lot has changed...I just hope I find the time to see it all.

And a good time was had by all...

Well...bout time I post on the trip to Minneapolis.

Had a great time with my friends Jill and Tanya. (that pic was late in the night as you can see. Touch humid.)

Whole day was great with us running around Viking country with our Charger gear on. We were the people to look at, that's for sure. We were proud! Sometimes LOUD! But didn't talk smack to any Viking fans.

But of course after the game the Viking fans didn't feel the same way. There were many assholes who just couldn't get over the fact that they beat our 3rd string. (Our first was in for one series...And L.T. and Gates didn't play at all) Even worse...They only beat us by 3. Their first string was in there for quite a while and they could only beat us by 3? Yeah...That's a win to be proud of.

But back to the fun stuff.

Little bar hopping, got to meet some pretty decent people. Mostly the Charger fans that would either come up to us or us up to them. We acknowledged each other every time we would see one. Was really great.

Made a quick trip to the Mall Of America. Had never been there before. But boy...When you had a "good time" the night before, that place is a little too "busy" to stomach. But we all wanted to goto Hooters and that's the only place where we knew one was. I ate...But boy was it hard. (food was good tho) I need to get back to that Mall and actually look around for a while. Since I am one of the only people in the area who had not actually been there before.

The moral of the story is..."Go out, Have fun with friends. But if there are Viking fans around...Be ready to pop them in the mouth if they get out of line".

Tonight I think I will finally feel like the football season has started.

In about an hour I will be hopping in a car with a couple of friends for a 4 hour drive to Minneapolis to see my SAN DIEGO CHARGERS play those lowly Vikings. This will be fun! (Mostly the watching of Viking fans hearts breaking right and left will be fun)

The thing is, ever since the season started...YOU CAN'T REALLY WATCH THE GAMES YOU WANT!!!

The NFL network is covering most of the games...And how can you watch 8 games on one network? You can't! So I can't really watch the players I want to see to figure out what guys I want on my fantasy teams. Let alone trying to figure out which teams to pick in the first week of the season for my pickem leagues.

But back to the good news...Heading out soon and this will be a fun night. No matter what happens...Its going to be a party!

Ok, I know she is hurting but I seriously think that losing her son has made Cincy Sheehan crazy.

The woman is just not thinking straight! Saying she won't pay her taxes, saying the war in Iraq is illegal, saying that President Bush is a murderer and the worst part...Saying her son did not die honorably!

Personally I think that her son would be ashamed of his mother right now.

Casey Sheehan made a choice to join the military. He made a choice to protect this country. To say that a man who made these choices to protect me, my loved ones and the country I love is not a hero should be slapped. EVERY person who is out there, who was out there, and made the trip but did not make it back have my respect, admiration and support.

It doesn't help that the liberal press, Michael Moore and the hippie crowd has championed this poor woman in her time of grief. Obviously this is making her slip away even more from reality.

I really wish she would move on and get some help from the families that have lost loved ones in the war. Most are proud of their sons, agree with what they did, and are TOTALLY willing to help Mrs. Sheehan with her grief.

Any woman that had already met with the President and said she was happy with her meeting with him last year and changes her story this year 360 degrees is a sure sign of a problem. Her own husband who was at the same meeting with the President doesn't agree with her new radical views and has not changed his story has now filed for divorce. I am sure he has tried to help her...But it looks like he has given up.

Simply put...How can taking down a dictator that has murdered hundreds of thousands to millions of his own people be not honorable? Ask a soldier who has come back...He will tell you.

(I could go on but...I am trying to be respectful of a mother who has lost a son and a hero)

When did killing terrorist become wrong?

In London this week some moron ran through the subway, jumped the turnstyle and ran into a crowded train. Wearing a jacket that could contain a bomb the cops tackled him and capped him in the head before he could trip the trigger.

Well...turns out he didn't have a bomb and MAY not be a terrorist. But why the hell was he running for?

If you run from the cops and do a darn good immitation of a terrorist you should be killed.

What if he did have a bomb? There could be a couple dozen people dead right now and everyone would be pissed that the cops didn't stop him.

Idiots...figure it out. If you run from the cops you deserve what you get...I would rather we combat this with all we have instead of being a bunch of wusses and having more innocent people die.

But what does this say about me? I drink maybe a minimum of 5 20oz bottles a day. Sure, some days are less but some days are more. I can easily drink a 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke in an two hours or so.

Even tho I do drink a lot of fluids...Doesn't matter if its water to beer, I drink all through the day.

A story on the Netscape homepage has a story from CNN saying that a drunk guy was taken into custody and held because he was drunk.

Not drunk in public...Drunk in his friends house!

His friend was not asking him to leave. So what right do cops have to take someone into custody that was an invited guest in someones house just because he's drunk?

Even tho the guy's statement in the story is wrong...You do not have a constitutional right to get drunk. It says that nowhere in there.

Well...Once again big business has got the best of the little man...

Today the Supreme Court of the United States has said that file sharing companies are responsible if someone passes something illegal over their service.

Great...Now it looks like they will be going after services like Kazaa, Grokster, and soon BitTorrent.

There are uncountable number of files that are shared on these networks by users that are TOTALLY LEGAL!

It is not my fault if someone else uses the service for illegal purposes!

I use these services to get game updates, game demos, movie trailers, LEGALLY SHARED MUSIC from unsigned bands (yes...Bands get their stuff out there on these services), and other things...

Its a sad day in America...Soon we will be suing the computer companies for making a device that you can use stolen items on.

Interesting how theatres are reporting lower attendance...Maybe because I DON'T WANT TO ENCOURAGE THEIR BEING ASSBAGS!

I really can't wait till this weekend. Been waiting for this for quite a while!

My San Diego Padres play the Minnesota Twins in a 3 game series Friday through Sunday.

This will actually be the first time that I have ever cheered against the Twins. I like the Twins a lot but I LOVE my Padres!

Four of us are heading up there on Saturday morning and will be seeing the Saturday and Sunday games. But I will most enjoy getting to watch them at my favorite pub here in town on Friday night. There are not too many Padre fans around here so it will be me against dozens...But I am up for the challenge! :)

I am sure I will have this feeling again when I go see the Chargers vs Vikings game in Minneapolis this fall...But that time I will not be upset about seeing the Vikes lose.

Have had Friday afternoon off for the past 6 months for Ribfest, and it looks like its going to rain!

Was planning on a weekend sitting out in the sun...Then going to some Sioux Falls Canaries baseball games at night. What could be better than that!?!?

Well, now it looks like it might rain the whole time. Nothing like ruining a perfectly good event!

Who knows...It still might turn out ok. I sure hope so.

Brother in law wants to go to Revenge of the Sith on Sunday. Guess I will go again. I had been thinking about going again anyway. The movie is totally worth it!

Spent last night with the family at their campsite. Boy...Camping just isn't my thing.

Like seeing the family and all, and drinking beer around the fire is always good. But city boy here doesn't like bugs, getting dirty, not showering, and feeling all icky (that's right, I said icky) in the morning.

Guess being a big city boy all my life has really sunk in.

I know I didn't get the other post in I promised, but been a little busy with work and other things. There are many distractions going on right now. Most good, some bad. But most I am not sure what to do with. Maybe a sign will come down from up above and smack me up the head and say "Its right there you stupid idiot! The answer was always RIGHT THERE!!!".

Been a while. Been busy. Maybe just a little uninterested.

I will just mention that the South Dakota State Mens Bowling Tournament this year was the worst I have ever been to.

If this is how the association is going to work...Maybe I will quit going.

The lanes were crap, it was humid and hot in there, and the machines were in such bad shape. Pins were off their spots when the rack set them down. Which made it so people were leaving weird splits right and left. If you didn't hit the pocket PERFECT you left something odd. It was a total rip off...and I should demand my bowling fees back.

Kinda sad...But kinda nice...

Went to Buffalo Wild Wings on Tuesday night at about 9pm. Met some friends down there.

Forgot to look at the sign outside (but did about 20 min after getting there) to see if it still said MLB Package. It did.

Well...I asked the bartender what the deal was, THEY HAD THE PACKAGE ON FRIDAY NIGHT! Which means when I was asking about the game on Saturday they could have turned it on. But nobody took the time to try because they didn't THINK they had the package.

gg BWW...

But at least I got to see the game on Tuesday. :)

After going up to Flandreu on Saturday to bowl in a no-tap tournament...I drove over to Buffalo Wild Wings. A bunch of friends were there.

Well..Got there about 9ish. Ordered a beer and was informed by a friend that the Padres were playing around 10ish.

I'M like "Freakin Sweet!".

So I proceed to ask the waitress to change the bigscreen to the game (since the STINKING NBA GAME THAT NOBODY WAS WATCHING WAS ON! More on this later). She said sure she would get someone on it.

20 min go by and I ask if they found the game. She said that she passed it off to the manager and if it wasn't on then they couldn't get it because they did not buy the baseball package. Everyone at the table was like "WTF!!!???". They have every other package like the NBA, NFL and NHL. But this year they decide not to get baseball? The bar was packed and nobody was watching the stupid NBA game. They were watching the college baseball game that was on TV.

So I am like...Whatever and got my tab and said I was going to go home to listen to it on the internet.

As I am driving away in my car I get a glance at the sign that says "MLB PACKAGE HERE!" WTF!!! I called my friends in the bar and told them about that. Still have not heard what the staff said.

So I get home only to find out FN Major League Baseball is charging to listen to the radio broadcasts now!!! WTF! If I was living in San Diego I would be able to listen to the radio for free. Why do they make us fans that live far away feel like were second class? Its BS!

I have already written MLB to bitch about this. I am not handing them $15 for something that they make the radio station that broadcasts the games in San Diego SHUT DOWN their internet feed while the games are on. That station can be listened to all day long for free online UNTIL THE GAME COMES ON! WTF!

Baseball is just trying their hardest to make us fans turn our backs and walk away...
